Shaun MacPhee: OF/RHP, (2025) Malden Catholic, MA. 5-foot-9, 170-pound lean build. Projectable and capable in the box, Macphee had an exit velocity of 88 mph. (67.1 mph bat speed average). (18.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is quick developing, exhibits an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contacts. Aggressive approach.  His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 80 mph; had a clean exchange, developing soft hands, and consistent, developing footwork. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot. Projectable on the mound, used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with falling off shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 76-77 mph; showed command arm side around the zone and slight running action. (Max spin 1981; Avg 1629). His curveball (65-67) had glove side control and sweeping action. (Max spin 2170; Avg 2077). Shows gradual fading action and arm side around the zone command on his changeup (70-72).
