Travis Moran: OF/RHP, (2023) out of Wachusett, MA. is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound, Moran showed a quick arm out of a low ¾ arm slot. The delivery is easy, simple and balanced. He gets to a good position at the top and stays in line as he heads down the mound. The fastball sat 79-80 MPH with heavy sinking movement. His changeup (72-73 MPH) mirrored the heavy sinking action on the fastball and he flashed a tight slider (68-70 MPH). 

Moran is a 5-foot-11, 155 pound right-handed hitting outfield prospect. He hits out of a wide, slightly open stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load begins with a knee slide to stack the weight over the back leg. The bat works through the zone on a flat, direct path to and through contact, yielding a max exit velocity of 87 MPH. He finishes through contact and remains balanced throughout.

Defensively, Moran was 85 MPH from the outfield. The feet are athletic and allow him to get into a fundamental fielding position. As he transitions into the throwing position, the feet create a direct line with the target. The arm-swing is short and quick, with carry. He finishes over the front leg, continuing along a direct line with the target.

On the mound, Moran works primarily out of the stretch. The delivery is quick, he uses a high leg kick to get balanced over the rubber and the arm-speed is evident. As he works down the mound, he creates consistent direction with home plate, allowing for a lot of strikes. The arm slot is higher, creating some sink on a fastball that sits 80-82 MPH. The breaking ball sits 64-66 MPH with tight side-to-side spin. Moran also featured a change-up at 70-71 MPH with good action and armspeed.

Moran is a talented young two-way prospect. He’s athletic, the bat has life and there is arm-talent on the mound.
