10/20/18

6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 79 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The command of the fastball needs to continue to improve, the stuff is present, controlling the ball is the key to his success. The spin pitch is correct in shape, 68-69 mph with depth. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery is online with the feet, above 3/4 in slot. The lift is athletic and repeated, small coil at the top. The glove has a small amount of pull to it, taking him off course. The ability to stay online and track the front shoulder is imperative as well.

6/05/18

6-foot-3, 180-pound left-handed pitcher, trending the right way and improving immensely. The delivery is compact and he does a nice job of staying with his arm. The feet are online to the plate, front shoulder closed down at foot strike. The arm is slightly above ¾ and shows quickness to it. The fastball sat at 78 mph, we have seen him better and he should bump mid 80’s by mid-summer. The spin pitch is excellent in shape, sat at 69 mph. More fastball hand speed can be added to make the pitch even better. The changeup is a good one, showed fade at 74-76 mph. Solid prospect for me, worth seeing pitch a couple times this summer.

12/10/17

6-foot-3, 175-pound left-handed pitcher. Tremendous showing for me at the event. The velocity is not there yet but he projects and the spin pitch is excellent. Ran a 7.6 at the event as well. Did workout at first, showing a solid glove and good arm action across the diamond. Threw 76 to third base. The delivery is online with his feet, the front shoulder comes off track prior to foot strike, causing him to be stretched out. All fixable things. The slot is plus ¾ and the athletic lift is repeated. The fastball ( which cuts at times) touched 79 mph. The breaking ball is excellent in shape and should be an out pitch down the line, sat at 68 mph. The changeup showed fade and sink, sat at 72 mph. High level prospect when the velocity comes on.

2018 FUTURE GAMES
6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed pitcher. Good looking young lefty, the spin pitch is an out pitch. Very tough to catch as his ball cuts at times. The fastball touched 81 mph, and moves a great deal, often cutting in on right-handers. The spin pitch is good in shape, sits at 70-71 mph, will be an out pitch at the next level. The changeup has good action to it, sitting at 77 mph. The delivery is online with his feet. The slot is above ¾ and works. The head moves when he throws. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to improve so his velocity can bounce, currently he pulls and rotates. The stuff is good, should be a high level guy in the future.
