Carter Bentley: OF/SS, (2025) The Rivers School, MA. 6-foot-2, 185-pound projectable athletic frame. Above average and athletic in the box, Bentley had a max exit velocity of 91 mph. Began in an athletic balanced stance with a small load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is explosive above average, has a loose simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Athletic from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 86 mph; shoed soft sure hands, athletic consistent feet, and a clean natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a high ¾ slot and a loose quick arm action. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.84. Above average projectable on the mound, showed above average arm speed with a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Stretch only type pitcher who uses some effort. During his delivery, balance point is tall with in -line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 87-88 mph; shows running action and command arm side around the zone. Has slurvey action and occasional command on his slider (72-73).

7/07/20
5-foot-11, 140-pound right handed hitting outfielder and infielder. Ran a 7.62 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is online and athletic, throwing 72 mph. The approach in the infield needs to be smoothed out with active feet so he can work through the ball as he catches and transfers into the throwing phase. The setup at the plate is even in base and the front foot steps into the swing. The hands work free and clean to contact. There is effort in the swing, as he gets physically stronger that should lessen as he develops.
