Brady MacDonald RHP/3B Frederick (MD) 2021

Solid frame at 5-foot-11, 175-pounds that still has some projection to it. On the mound MacDonald displayed repeatable low effort mechanics throwing out of three-quarter arm slot. Arm action was loose and clean, had a down and out stride to the delivery, and finished slightly closed at foot strike. Showed some control of the fastball, especially to the glove side where he got a punch out looking. Fastball sat 77-78 with some definite arm side run to the glove side. Curveball had a bigger 12/6 break when he got it out front and it sat at 65-67 mph. The changeup had some fade at times and showed solid arm speed getting it out. Open upright stance at the plate, strides in closed, and hands load back with a slight bat wrap. Hands are short to the ball, level path, and stays on through extension. Used the middle of the field well and put up an exit velocity of 79 mph. Defensively was under control on approach, fielded out front, and showed a clean hand break. Short arm action and throws from a lower three-quarter arm slot at 70 mph across. Ran a 8.16 60.
