Body: 5’10’’, 150 pounds. Athletic, lanky frame
Hit: RHH. Hits from an upright, balanced, square stance at the plate. Slight knee to knee load with some hand separation. Barrel stays in the zone long with an uphill swing path. Stays behind the ball well with balance throughout. Stays short to the ball with a middle of the field approach.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Some pull-side pop present.
Arm: RH. OF - 77 mph. Throws with longer arm action from a mid to high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Plays through the ball with momentum towards the target. Clean exchanges with throws that showed some carry.
Run: 7.25 60-yard time.
MD Preseason All State
Athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. Hits from the right side starting square with a slightly wider base. No stride and minimal hand load, hands drop creating a steep uphill bat path, and average bat speed. Swing has pull side tendency and minimal lower half involvement. Exit velocity was 74 mph. Active feet on approach, clean exchange, and a long arm action. Throws from a three-quarter arm slot at 71 mph from the outfield. Home-1st time was 4.69. Pitched primarily from the stretch starting with a closed stance. Solid balance point gathered over the rubber before a down and out stride home landing slightly closed. Hides the ball well with a long arm action getting his hand behind his back leg and elbow is set low before throwing from a high three-quarter arm action. Fastball sat at 64-66 mph. Curveball had slurve shape and had an average feel for it at 53-56 mph. Changeup was 55-57 mph.
