Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6’2”, 140 pounds. Long, lanky, athletic, projectable frame.
Hit: LHH. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate. Sits slightly in load and creates nice hand separation. Average, controlled stride and swings with intent. Stays behind the ball well with great extension and a strong two-handed finish. Generates strong lower half involvement and stays short to the ball with quick bat speed through the hitting zone. Squared up a bunch of balls working gap to gap during BP.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. Ball jumps off the bat. Present power to the gaps with much more projected.
Arm: LH. OF - 84 mph. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Plays through the ball and fields it out in front on the glove hand side. Showed quick, clean exchanges and quick, fundamental footwork. Ball showed carry on throws.
Run: 4.45 home-to-first time.
Delivery: Starts with his feet in the middle of the rubber, utilizing a short rocker step into a chest high leg kick. Utilizes his long limbs, creating deception while hiding the ball well. Generates good push off his back side driving his front shoulder towards the target. Ends in solid, athletic fielding position.
Arm Action: LH. Throws out of a mid to high three-quarter arm slot, buggywhip type action.
FB: T78 mph, 76-78 mph. Showed gradual arm-side run
CB: 58-61 mph. Loopy, 2/8 shape and action.
CH: 66-69 mph. Arm-side fade at the plate.
MD Top Prospect Games II
Long, lanky, athletic body type and projectable 6’2’’, 140 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, athletic, square stance from the left side. Smooth back load and small leg kick creating some hand separation. Stays behind the ball well with some lower half involvement. Short to the ball with a more level swing path. Gets good extension through contact and finishes strong with two hands. Easy, fluid swing and gap-to-gap line drive approach with occasional pop. Recorded a 76 mph exit velocity. Plays through the ball in the outfield with quick, fundamental footwork. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 81 mph. Ball showed some carry to the plate. Ran a 7.56 60-yard time.
