MD Top Prospect Games 6/20/17
Jaeger is a strong, right handed hitting catcher. At the plate, he has an athletic and slightly open setup with a vertical bat and weight preset in his backside. He utilizes a quick leg kick and minimal load. His bat flattens out has his front foot approaches the ground. His barrel works level and long through the zone. He gets some extension and displayed gap power. He has solid bat speed and could turn into a power threat as he continues to fill out his frame. Behind the plate, he has average actions as a receiver as he has a lot of unnecessary movements. He has an average transfer while not gaining much ground with his first step. He can improve by staying lower.
11.5.16 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash. Hits from a widers square set up. Quick load to hitting position with a level bat path and quick hands. NIce extension through contact at plate . Quick exchange from behind the plate. Short arm action and quick feet. Accurate throws from behind dish. Pop times ranged from 2.19 - 2.23.
2.21.16 - Athletic frame with room to grow at 5-foot-10, 155-pounds. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Hits from an athletic base slightly stacked. Short load and stride to hitting position. Quick hands with a level, direct path to the ball.  Little slap style in swing and hands drift down at times to hitting position. Good foundation on the offensive end. Receives from an athletic base. Quick exchange and footwork to release. Rushed himself a bit. Short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Could get a bit more rotated to create some torque on throws and generate some more arm strength. Throws were at 69 mph with a pop time as low as 2.21.
