Cape Cod: Was a hitting machine for GW this spring, slashing .382/.458/.560 with 18 doubles and six homers. He was also a productive middle of the order bat for the Firebirds, hitting .274 with nine doubles, two homers and 22 RBIs in 146 at-bats. Micheletti’s calling card is his compact line-drive swing, which produces hard line-drive contact, mostly to the pull side. He has some power as well, but not enough at this stage to earn him a pro opportunity as a junior this year. He needs a lot of work to find a defensive home at first base or left field, because right now he’s best suited to DH. He’s a well below-average runner who also needs a lot of work on his baserunning acumen. … Orleans had a pair of catchers worth keeping an eye on.
