Cape Cod: Showed the offensive skillset we've come to expect with good bat-to-ball skills and a very strong understanding of the strikezone. The profile is a high contact bat with limited pop but an ability to work the count and find his way on base. He runs well with good instincts on the bases and could profile as a day two target next summer

Strong, physical body type. Went 2-for-4 with two RBI's in the game against Archbishop Spalding. Hit a laser back up the middle for a base hit and drove one through the right side for another RBI. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate with a small leg kick load. Stays on the ball extremely well with a quiet head and explosive lower half. Showed quick hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Also closed the game for DeMatha on the mound pitching two scoreless innings. Allowed two hits, walked one and struck out one. Fastball sat 86-88 mph and breaking ball was 74-75 mph. Team captain, and exceptional leader.

First thing that you notice with Bulger is when he swings the bat, that the barrel speed is different. Its aggressive approach, lightning like bat speed, with strength. The 2020 Vanderbilt commit has all the makings of a special offensive player with his ability to drive the baseball. Explosive quick twitch is apparent in the DeMatha Catholic product. The question lies what position he will play once he gets to college, and he continues to improve behind the plate with his receiving skill. There is still areas of improvement, but no question to his ability to catch and release with a pop consistently in the 1.95 range on the day and accurate. Just excited to know that we still have three full seasons to watch this young man perform.

Bulger has used this year to show why he should be considered one of the top offensive prospects of the 2020 class. A strong spring season at DeMatha followed up by an impressive summer circuit for the catching prospect. Defensively, this was where we saw the most improvement in Bulgers game, as his athleticism has caught up to his skill set behind the dish, becoming much more comfortable in game with soft hands and a quiet receiver. Combined with his strong arm and 1.9 pop, Bulger is forming himself into a high end catching prospect.

Strong athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. An explosive hitting catching prospect that should be a top player in the state throughout his high school career. Ran a 4.24 home to first. Hits from an athletic, slightly open setup. Short rock-back load with swagger. Good rhythm throughout. Creates explosive bat speed with pull side power. Gets nice extension through contact. Exit velocity of 103 mph. Somewhat stiff while receiving, should continue to get more comfortable and then his natural athleticism will take over. Quick feet and hands on exchange in pop throws. Fast release and carry on throws. Catcher velocity of 76 mph with a pop time that ranged from 1.88 - 1.97.

Physically strong for young age at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds. Impressive quick twitch behind the plate with a short arm action on throws down to second. Pop times consistently 2.0 and and as low as 1.98. Still needs to develop as a receiver and blocker, which he shows the athleticism to do as much. Showed quick hands at the plate and strength at the plate with a power ability that is advanced for his age.
