MD Preseason All State
Strong projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. Hits from the left side with an open upright stance. Strides on-line with hands back and a slight bat wrap. Swing is longer, but showed some strength at contact. Uphill path with a high one hand finish and gets lower half through completely. Exit velocity is 88 mph. Controlled movements on approach in the infield, glove presents out front, and showed soft hands at catch. Clean exchange led to a longer arm action and throws from a three-quarter arm slot at 73 mph. Home-1st time was 4.65. Slow paced mechanics that start with a side step delivery. High consistent balance point before starting a drop and drive delivery towards the plate. Shoulders and hips get tilted early, lands on line, and has an arm recoil on finish. Arm circle was average in size with a slower pace to it and threw from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat at 72-74 and was down in the zone for the majority of the session. Had average feel for the curveball. Curveball sat at 61-64 and showed 11/5 break. Changeup displayed fastball arm speed at 66-68 mph and had late fade at times.
