Maryland Top Prospect Games II

Body: 5’10’’, 140 pounds. Lengthy, proportioned frame with room to hold more strength.
Hit: RHH. Open, slightly bent stance utilizing a traditional hand position to start; worked the bat head back to a stretched position at launch coupled with a lift and replace stride from a wide attack. Featured a controlled, flat barrel path into the hitting zone accompanied by a flurry of line drives during batting practice. Stayed mostly middle of the field in the approach with more of a finesse/feel led round.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Developing doubles power but could get handsy at times. Will eventually have solid juice to pull-side gap for extra bases.
Arm: RH. C - 68 mph. Short high ¾ slot with no restrictions.
Defense: Pop times ranged 2.20 - 2.34. Replaced the feet, sometimes getting the shoulders set up towards the second base position before exploding into rotation. Good extension out in front with immediate quickness up out of the crouch into the catch/throw phase. Throws showed occasional cut to the glove side. Adequate receiving skills from traditional setup behind the dish.
Run: 7.57 60-yard time.
