2.12.17 - On the mound, Bontempo shows a controlled, compact delivery. His lower half is more of a drop-and-drive style delivery. He has sound arm action throwing from a high three-quarter arm slot. He pitches with some effort. He lands square to the plate with occasional fall to the first base side. His fastball was consistently 74-76 with slight run on the pitch. Bontempo's breaking ball is 68-70 with a 11/5 action thrown with fastball arm speed. His changeup was 70-71 with some sink.

7.7.15 - Projectable frame at 6-foot-1 190-pounds. Hits from a tall, open set up.  Short leg kick to load. Level bath path with some bat speed. Gets good extension through contact. Has some balance and a gap-to-gap type hitter. Exit velocity of 84 mph. Has active feet around the bag and throws from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm action.  Hands were good and showed a quick exchange on turns to second.  Infield velocity of 71 mph.  Ran a 7.92 60-yard dash.  Interesting prospect in the 2018 class with some projection.
