6-foot, 180 pound true left hand prospect ran a 4.65 home to 1st. At the plate rest the bat on shoulder using a leg lift hitting the ball hard out front off his front leg. Used a nice long finish and 84 mph exit velocity. Has soft hands while in the field moving well around the 1B bag. Threw the ball 77 mph from a sidearm angle across the diamond. On the mound worked with a controlled tempo and high leg kick throwing from a side arm angle. Mixed in both a 4 and 2 seam fastball 76-79 mph touching 80 mph with his final pitch. Curve was a sweeper 59-62 mph.

Allen has a strong 6-foot, 180-pound build. He stands narrow and upright while using a leg kick. He has a short, downhill swing with quick hands and an exit velocity of 84 mph. He ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. On the infield, he fields with rhythm and his hands out front before having a low arm angle on his release. On the mound, he throws from a low-3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He primarily uses a two-seam grip for his fastball that generates good arm side run at 73-77 mph. His curveball showed big 1/7 break at 58-61 mph.

Allen stands at 6-foot, 180-pounds with strong shoulders. He has good rhythm in the batter’s box, using a leg kick and does a good job of hitting into his front side. He shows the ability to stay through the ball and use the middle of the field. Defensively he does a good job of using his feet to get in a good position to make a throw. He ran the 60-yard dash in 7.40 and had an exit velocity of 83 mph.
