Emmanuel Gutierrez: OF/LHP, (2023) Wyandotte Roosevelt, MI. 5-foot-9, 160-pound. During batting practice, Gutierrez clocked an exit velocity of 90 mph. Starts in an open crouched stance with a choppy high load, then uses a short leg kick. Has a level swing plane and has good extension on his finish. Line drive gap to gap approach. Capable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 84 mph; has raw hands, a natural exchange, and choppy feet. Fields the ball to the side, movements laterally were developing. Recorded a 60 time of 7.33 at the event.

Bat speed was raw, and had a level swing plane. In the round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Line drive approach. Smooth in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 83 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a quick clean exchange. Out front fielding mechanics. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.38.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands, consistent footwork, quick clean exchange. Smooth. Fields the ball out front. 

Arm: 83 mph outfield velocity.

Hitting: Left handed hitter starts open at the plate using a big leg lift to come square. Stays balanced during his swing keeping his hands back as he loads and the bat level through the zone. Produced some solid line drive contact during BP.

Fielding: In the outfield fields in a fluid motion using a stutter step as he approaches the ball. Uses a crow hop before throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. Showed consistent accuracy with his arm.

Pitching: On the mound steps right with a knee high leg left.  Stays balanced and composed utilizing a slight pause out of the wind up. Quick arm out 3/4 arm slot sat 75-77 MPH with his fastball. Curveball was tight breaking 63-65 MPH showing late break at times. Throws changeup with good arm speed 68-69 MPH.
