Josiah Hicks: RHP/3B, (2022) Romeo, MI. 6-foot, 170-pound. Fluid at the plate, Hicks had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Starts in an open stance with a high small load, then uses a small leg kick. Had a short flat swing plane, above average bat speed and high finish. Through the round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 78 mph. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.18. Fluid on the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and a long arm action with above average arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses decent effort. Showed tall balance point and uphill shoulders. a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 79-81 mph; has tilt and consistent command with tight movement. Had gradual action and sporadic command on his 12/6 curveball (67-70). Threw his flat changeup (70-72) with fading action and consistent control. Threw a tight slider that showed cutting action and glove side control.
