Nathan Masar: RHP/C, (2023) Bullock Creek High, MI. 6-foot, 170-pound. Above average in the box, Masar's best exit velocity was 91 mph. (67.8 mph bat speed average). (21.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a closed wide stance with a smooth load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is explosive, displays an upward swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Pull side up the middle approach. While catching, his strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 79 mph; showed a fluid transfer, sure hands, and consistent feet. had consistent pop times of 2.18-2.19. Staggered setup with some flexibility. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.0. Athletic above average on the mound, showed quick good arm speed, also used a ¾ an over-the-top arm angle and a short quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands closed and square with an athletic upright finish. Curveball (69-71 mph), changeup (75-76 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 82-84 mph and topped out at 85 mph; (Max spin 2544; Avg 2398).
