Owen DeGroot: RHP/SS, (2021) Petoskey, MI. 5-foot-11, 160-pound. In the box, Degroots best exit velocity was 82 mph. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 74 mph. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.4. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 74-76 mph with a max of 76 mph. Curveball (60-62 mph), changeup (72-73 mph).
On the mound throws from a high 3/4 arm slot turning his body to conceal the ball during windup. Three pitch mix fastball sitting 744-76 with good command. Curveball was 60-62 tight breaking with 11/5 shape. Changeup thrown with similar arm speed to FB at 72-73.

Hitting: Sets up with an open stance. Takes a longer swing path making hard contact working the pull side. Has a two hand swing.
Pitching: On the mound steps left turns inward throwing, kicking his leg out throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball showed a cut action 73-75 mph. 11/5 shape on the curve with late bite. Smooth inning of work.
