Tristin Cross: 3B/C, (2022) Southfield A & T, MI. 6-foot, 227-pound. Raw at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 90 mph. (63.8 mph bat speed average). (18.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide balanced stance with a big controlled load, then used a controlled leg kick. Bat speed is quick raw, shows a simple swing plane and high finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; has in control feet, raw hands, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball deep. Capable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action while showing some arm speed. Power: 90 mph exit velocity, average 83.8 mph. 63.8 mph bat speed average. 18.9 mph hand speed average. Best ev of the day. 

Defense:  (IF) Raw hands, in control footwork, clean exchange. Capable.  Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball deep. 

Arm: 73 mph infield velocity. 

Pitching: Capable. Tilt-and-topple delivery, decent effort. High ¾ arm angle, some arm speed, long arm action. Strong balance point, downhill shoulders, lands square, balanced finish.

FB: T74. 70-72 mph. (Max spin 1777;  Avg 1614). Arm side accuracy, straight movement. 

CB: 61-66 mph. Arm side down in the zone command, slurvey action. (Max spin 1647; Avg 1535).

Began in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed is average, displays an upward swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Raw in the infield, displayed a velocity of 67 mph; has developing feet, raw hands, and a developing exchange. Movements laterally were late and he fields the ball deep. While catching, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 62 mph; has a lengthy exchange, firm hands, and developing feet. Had consistent pop times of 2.32-2.34. Wide setup with some flexibility. Occasional accuracy to the bag, used a long arm action with an-over-the-top slot.

Power: 86 mph exit velocity, average 77.55 mph. 60.20 mph bat speed average. 19.55 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 2.32-2.34 pop times. Firm hands, developing footwork, lengthy exchange. Raw. Wide setup with some flexibility. (IF) Raw hands, developing footwork, developing exchange. Raw.  Fielded the ball deep with late movement laterally. 

Arm: 67 mph infield velocity. 62 mph catcher velocity. Long arm action, an-over-the-top slot, occasional accuracy.

Fielding: Behind the plate sets up with a high back side receiving with one hand showing a quick arm. Keeps throws around the bag. In the field sets up with a low position keeping his hips spread. Moves light on his feet throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. 

Hitting: At the plate sets up with the bat over his back shoulder and a closed stance. Lowers his hands during the swing taking an uphill swing path. 

Pitching: ON the mound steps left moving towards his balance point throwing with a short arm action. Was in the zone with easy action. Fastball was 66-70 mph. Curve 50-54 mph with a gradual break. Change up was 64-66 mph low in the zone.
