9/1/15- Werner, a North Iowa Area CC commit, was arguably the best hitter of the weekend; collecting multiple hits. 4.63 runner on-the-turn; a strong arm in the outfield.

6/16/15- MN Top Prospect
5-foot-8, 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Smaller frame. Ran a 7.28 at this event. Back elbow load with length in swing to contact. Stays on top of baseball well; consistently hitting hard ground balls and line-drives. Middle-pull approach with present bat speed. 84 mph exit velocity. Above average actions in outfield with good glove and feet. Long arm action and creates momentum towards target. Throws show cut action occasionally; but typically on target. 88 mph arm strength. Werner has a big motor; plays hard all the time; competitive nature.

2/28/15- MN Preseason All-State
5-foot-8, 155-pound 2-way player with compact fast twitch frame who ran a 7.15 60. Shows bat speed and strength in swing with above average pop to pull side of field. Typically gap to gap approach. Load is deep with arm bar. Swing is level. Bottom hand is dominant with short finish causing bat to flip underneath at contact at times. Aggressive swings and looks to drive baseball with authority. 85 mph exit velocity off tee. Confident aggressive fielder in outfield. Best routes and hands of any outfielder at event. Fields out front and gets ball on the short hop. Extremely fast arm with carry and accuracy. Attacking style with ability to make plays. 87 mph arm strength. On the mound Werner uses a high leg kick delivery with good direction to the plate. Arm stroke is long and loose out front with some unravel on the backside. Fastball shows life in zone. Is underneath fastball at times with effort elevating pitch. Fastball was 78-79 mph. Slider has cutter action with small sharp break in the zone at 72-74 mph. Changeup is firm right now; but shows good feel for zone and ability to spot pitch.

5-foot-8, 145-pound outfielder. Slight build with fast twitch athleticism. 7.07 60 time. Left-handed hitter who takes aggressive swings. Has strength from elbows to wrists. Load is long but able to get barrel to baseball. Line drive swing plane- ball jumps at contact. Stiff front leg limits weight shift through contact. 79 mph exit velocity. Good actions in outfield. Is clean and quick releasing ball. Arm is long and works well from ¾ slot. Has body momentum on throws. 84 mph velocity from outfield. Overall good package of skills. Very competitive player.
