8/23/15- 5-foot-7, 170-pound left-handed hitting infielder/catcher. 7.57 runner at this event. Is shorter to contact. Better job of staying connected in load. Gap to gap approach with solid line drive contact to pull side of field. Plays hard with energy. Shows solid feet and hands in field. Accurate throws to base at 70 mph. Second base tools and actions. Good blocker and receiver. Works hard behind plate. Needs to continue to improve arm strength. 66 mph throws to second base with2.19-2.28 pop times.
6/16/15- 5-foot-6, 170-pound catcher. Ran a 7.76 60. Small build. Flat line drive swing plane with 74 mph exit velocity off tee. Swing is simple and repeatable. Spray hitter who uses middle of field. Recently moved behind the dish. Works hard at position. Blocks well and plays with energy. Needs to improve arm strength with regular long toss program. Exchanges are clean and has accuracy to bag. 67 mph arm strength with a 2.31 pop time. Is versatile and also plays 2B as well.
2/28/15- MN Preseason All-State
5-foot-7, 160-pound second baseman. Ran a 7.68 60. Showed a pull approach at this event with average power. Simple swing mechanics. Was on-time and made solid contact during B.P. 74 mph exit velocity off tee. Second base actions. Lacks arm strength. Would benefit from long toss program. Fields clean and shows ability to make routine play. 70 mph arm strength across infield.
October 18, 2014
5-foot-6, 160-pound second baseman. Travis continues to improve and makes strides as a baseball player. Ran a 7.47 60 at this event. Arm strength has improved 4 mph since last event he attended in August. Showed more lift and strength in swing. Stayed behind baseball at contact- drove through with strength. Is continuing to work on shortening load; but shows good hands and eye-coordination at plate. Plays with energy and keeps improving. Hands and feet allow him to make routine to above average plays. Not physically imposing but plays well in games and is competitive.
August 2014
5-foot-6, 160-pound second baseman. 4.5 home to first time. Left handed hitter, simple load and stride. Load at times is long causing arm bar and limiting bat speed. Shows balance in swing with quiet head and stays on balls through contact. Level swing plane producing hard ground balls and line drives. Looks to make solid contact and get out of the box. Exit velocity of 78 mph. Defensively, short quick strides to ball. Natural position is second base. Shows better angles to balls at that position. Made couple above average plays in game portion of event. Throws from ¾ arm slot with throwing velocity of 67 mph. Overall top/bottom of order hitter who looks to get on base and score runs while making routine plays on right side of infield.
