11/4/17 - Newbury is a strong and durable 5-foot-7 184-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.34 60 and a 4.62 home to first.  He has an 89 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, quiet and efficient load, short in line stride, quick and loose hands, body stays under control, showed power to the pull gap, loud contact to middle and pull side during hitting evaluations.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velocity, over the top release, long arm circle, quick feet to the ball, clean exchange with momentum after the catch, mostly accurate throws.
