Yingling

6/16/15 - Yingling is a strong 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting first baseman, throws left.  Yingling ran a 7.10 60 and has an 89 mph exit velo.  Has balanced set up at the plate, open stance, lands open, leg kick, loose/strong hands, line drives to pull gap during batting practice.  On the infield, over-the-top release, fluid footwork, clean exchange, mostly accurate throw, positional velo at 77 mph. Yingling touched 87 mph, and worked 83-86 mph.  His delivery has some deception, as he works slightly across his body.  He has an over-the-top release with quick arm speed, throwing a high percentage of strikes.  Curveball at 65-68 mph, 2-to-8 shape, late action.  Change-up at 76 mph. Works the bottom of the zone with all three pitches.

2/16/15 - Yingling is a well built 6-foot-1 195-pound first-baseman/LHPfrom Lindbergh, bats right, throws left. will be a top LHP in the state, mostly high three-quarters release, short arm action, drop and drive style pitcher, smooth rhythm, repeatable release point, throws strikes, hides ball well, throw down angle, 83-87 mph fastball, slight run, 1-to-7 shaped curveball, 70-72 mph, late action, change-up at 74-75 mph. Strong build with wide shoulders, throws with easy effort. At the plate, open stance, uses leg kick, quick hands, pull power, 91 mph exit velo, one of the top for the event, 4.34 home-to-first, at first-base, athletic, quick feet, clean exchange, 78 mph positional velo, accurate throws, with carry.

8/25/13 - Yingling has a projectable frame for a player of his age, standing 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. At the plate, Yingling uses a strong lower half to produce a long swing with an uphill path to the ball. He displays quick bat speed and drove the ball hard with backspin carry. As he continues to progress, Yingling has some power potential. His exit velocity off the bat was 88-mph, tops for the event. In the field at first base, Yingling shows good footwork and sure hands with accurate throws while turning double plays. On the mound, the left-handed thrower commands three pitches. His fastball was down in the zone, thrown 74-77 mph with cut action. He also threw a 71-72 mph breaking ball with near fastball arm speed and early 1-to-7 break and a 71-72 mph change up thrown with near fastball arm speed showing sink and fade action.
