St. Louis Open ID: Unknown before the event, Pearson performed at a high level behind and at the plate. Behind the plate, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Pearson impressed with his quick feet and accurate 1.9-2.0 pop times. Pearson showed quick, athletic movements blocking, as well as soft hands. At the plate, Pearson has solid fundamentals and bat speed with legitimate power potential to all fields. 

Midwest Future Games: C Drew Pearson (Cabool HS) played well behind the plate for Missouri with a 1.99 pop time and 78-79 throws to second. The right-handed hitting backstop also played a major role in Missouri’s 5-2 win over Indiana on Sunday when he laced an RBI-single to right in the ninth inning.

2/20/12: Pearson is a strong-bodied 6-foot-2, 200-pound catcher who features a solid frame and quick feet. Pearson’s pop times registered 2.08 to 2.10 with a strong, accurate arm from behind the dish (74-78 mph).  Offensively, Pearson has a balanced stance and an aggressive approach. With his fast bat speed and strong lower half, Pearson showed some pull-side power with backspin carry
