12/27/14 - Davis is a very athletic 6-foot, 170-pound left-hand hitting, right-hand throwing outfielder and is one of the top class of 2017 prospects in the Kansas City area. His quick-twitch athleticism stood out among the outfield group during defensive drills as he easily ranged to his left and right to track down balls. At the plate he showed a simple line drive approach and he recorded a camp-best 60-yard dash time of 6.65.
6/4/14 - Davis is a projectable, athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound OF. He has a strong arm with a position velo of 76 MPH. Davis moves well and gets good reads off the bat. At the plate, he has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He uses his lower half well and has fast bat speed with a level swing. Jess displayed good pull power. His exit velo was 80 MPH.
