Strong, well-proportioned 6-foot-3, 198-pound frame with room to tack on more muscle. Generated easy velocity from a high slot on average (6 ft.) at this event, working east-to-west and in the zone. Reached a 90.9 mph high at the Jefferson College Scout Day, pitching at 89-90 mph throughout his ‘pen. Spun his fastball at 2,300+ RPM on average, also averaged 18 inches of vertical break, per TrackMan. Landed a short wrinkle slider for strikes with consistency, limited spin on a firm low-80s changeup, too. Figures to be one of the top arms for this talented Vikings’ pitching staff.
Puma Classic: Strong, durable left-hander with a quick arm. Fastball sat 89-90 mph with late tail and occasional sink. Spins a sharp/hard, biting downer curve 76-77 mph. Has feel for change with deception and some sink. Athletic to repeat delivery; feel for pitching and competes.
