6/16/15 - Wilson is a 5-foot-11 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in the 2017 class from Platte County.  Wilson runs a 7.28 60 and has an 82 mph exit velo.  Offensively, Wilson has a balanced stance, smooth load, and lands square with front foot.  He has loose hands and level path.  During defensive evals, Wilson had an 82 mph positional velo, one of the top for the event.  He has an over-the-top release, soft hands, quick exchange, loose arm, mostly accurate throws. Wilson threw strikes with three pitches from a high-three quarters release.  Wilson worked his fastball 81-84 mph, topping out at 85 mph, throwing mostly running fastballs to RHH.  Has an 11-to-5 curveball with late action, down in the zone at 70-73 mph. Change-up was down in the zone at 75-76 mph, arm side release.  Wilson throws with regular effort and clean arm action, suggesting an increase in the future.
