GCS Prospect ID Showcase: The lanky 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-hander has a free and loose delivery that adds to his deceptiveness. With a running fastball that sits 75-78 mph, Clemente also showed a curveball and an impressive changeup (68-69 mph) with considerable sink and arm-side run. Considering he has room to fill out and already exhibits repeatable, smooth mechanics, Clemente's velocity should increase over the next year. Open Invitational Showcase: With a projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame the right hander Clemente comes from a high ¾ arm angle and showed good rhythm on the mound while showing a fastball with some late sink that topped at 76 mph. His curveball (66-68 mph) flashed tight break with a late 11-to-5 movement. Clemente also displayed some feel for his change up with arm side run (68-69 mph). Look for spike in velocity as Clemente continues to mature physically.
