6/24/14 – Dowling is a 5-foot-8, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. He is a smaller athletic build. Dowling has average arm speed with an over-the-top delivery. He fought his control, because he rushed a little in his delivery. He had a FB velocity range of 71-75 MPH. His CB was at 61-62 MPH with 12/6 tilt and his CH ranged from 60-64 with some sink. Dowling’s change-up was thrown at near fastball arm speed.
