Kyan Franklin: OF/1B, (2023) Christian Brothers College, MO. 6-foot-2, 210-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a small load, then used a toe tap to start his swing. Bat speed is explosive, exhibits upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 81 mph; had sure hands, developing footwork and a fluid exchange. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.8. Above average on the mound, where he showed good arm speed, he had a quick arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Uses easy effort in his delivery. Even shoulders with consistent balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Slider (74-75 mph).Threw his fastball 78-81 mph; has running action and consistent control. Showed a 1/7 curveball with tight action. He has fading action on his changeup (76-76).
