Duley

10/30/16 - Duley is a 6-foot-2 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.78 home to first.  He has an 89 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, controlled leg kick, loose hand creating quick bat speed, solid contact during batting practice, repeats swing, hands work inside of ball, short to contact. In the outfield, 84 mph positional velo, one of the top outfield velos, loose over the top release, quick catch and throw, efficient footwork to the ball, mostly accurate throws with back spin carry. On the mound, Duley comes from an over the top arm slot, high percentage of strikes, controlled leg lift to accelerated in line stride, loose arm action, arm works, fastball showed slight fade at 81-82 mph, one of the top fastball velos of the event, breaking ball had late action at 67-68 mph, 11-to-5 action, change up has slight sink at 68-70 mph with fastball arm speed.

6/16/15 - Duley is a strong 6-foot 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class from Joplin.  Duley ran a 7.16 and had an exit velo of 85 mph.  During batting practice, Duley consistently squared up the ball to both gaps.  He has little wasted movement during load, uses a short stride and stays through contact with extension.  In the outfield, Duley has a positional velo of 83 mph from an over the top release, he has quick feet and quick exchange, making mostly accurate throws. Duley shows signs of velo increase on the mound, touching 83 mph, sitting 78-80 mph during his outing.  He is a strike thrower with both fastball and curveball.  Curveball was 12-to-6 at 62-66 mph, late action.  He has an over-the-top release with smooth rhythm during his delivery.  He works the bottom of the zone with both pitches, getting many ground balls. Quick and efficient tempo between pitches.

2/21/15 - Duley is an athletic 6-foot 170-pound RHP/OF in Missouri’s 2018 class. Offensively, balanced set-up, short stride, smooth load, fluid rhythm, consistent line drives to middle of the cage during hitting round, balanced finish, 81 mph exit velo, 4.70 home-to-first. During outfield evaluations, plays through the ball, crop hop, quick exchange, over-the-top release, loose arm action, 77 mph outfield velo. On the mound, Duley has a clean/repeatable delivery, throws strikes, arm works, over-the-top release, delivery has smooth rhythm, throws with some effort, 78-80 mph fastball, fastball has run, 12-to-6 curveball, works down in zone, 63-66 mph, change-up at 70-71 mph, straight, near fastball arm speed.
