6/16/15 - Thompson is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound right hand-hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 60 time of 7.71. Over-the-top arm slot, strong arm, fluid footwork, quick/clean exchange, pop time between 2.19 and 2.31. Position velo of 77 mph.  At the plate, Thompson has an open setup with a smooth load, swing produces gap-to-gap line drives, stays inside the ball, fast bat speed. Exit velo at 78 mph.

10/18/14 - Thompson is a strong 5-foot-8 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  OF positional velocity of 83 mph, over-the-top release, somewhat accurate throws, works behind ball, quick exchange. At the plate, 77 mph exit velo, athletic stance, slightly open, level path to extension, consistent line drives to middle of field during BP, pull power, finishes in stiff back leg, 4.78 home-to-first.  Behind the plate, 79 mph positional velo, 2.09-2.19 pop times, quick exchange, accurate throws. 

6/4/14 - Thompson is an athletic 5-foot-8, 170 pound right hand hitting catcher. He posted a POP range of 2.06 - 2.22. He has good side-to-side movements and solid footwork. Thompson has good carry on his throws and was mostly accurate. At the plate, he has a balanced setup with a smooth load. He's a line drive hitter with a balanced level swing. His exit velo was 76 MPH.
