Smith is a 5-foot-11 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 7.30 60 and had an 86 mph exit velocity. During batting practice, Smith starts open with stance, smooth actions into his load, quick bat, loose hands, flat bat path, minimal head movement. Behind the plate, balanced set up, quick arm, high three-quarter slot, positional velo of 67 mph, mostly accurate throws, pop times between 2.30 to 2.41seconds.

10/28/18 - Smith is a 5-foot-11 165-pound right handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.88 60 and a 5.40 home to first.  He has an exit velocity of 82 mph.  At the plate, balanced set up, no wasted movement with minimal load in lower half and hands, short stride, hand manage the bat, level path through the zone, middle of the field approach.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.30 and 2.45-seconds, 64 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, slightly staggered feet in set up, clean exchange, feet create momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws, some with carry to the bag.
