2/15/16 - O’Connell is a 5-foot-11 185-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class. On the mound, three quarters release, tuck at balance point, hides ball well, body under control during delivery throwing with regular effort, 82-85 mph fastball, one of top RHP velos for the event, some running action, slurve-type breaking ball at 74-76 mph, 10-to-4 action, sharp break, change up at 67-73 mph, late arm side run.

8/9/15 - O’Connell is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed pitcher in the 2017 class. O’Connell pumped strikes with his fastball at 81-83 mph, touching 85 mph on pitch.  Fastball comes from a three-quarters arm slot, has run, works both sides of plate.  Breaking ball is a 10-to-4 slider, late action, 73-76 mph.  O’Connell hides the ball well throwing from a low arm slot, body is controlled throughout delivery, throws with regular effort.  Walked one and struck out one during his inning of work.

7/22/15 - O’Connell is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed pitcher in the 2017 class. Posted one of the top velos of the day at 85 mph.  Works from a three-quarters arm slot, throws with regular effort, hide ball, 80-85 mph fastball, slider at 72-76 mph, good pitch, late break, sharp 10-to-4 action.  Curveball at 64-69 mph, more 11-to-5 action, change-up at 67-69 mph.  Works down in zone with pitches at top of knees.
