Premier Propsect: A veteran of PBR events, Rasmussen continues to impress with his powerful swing at the plate. Rasmussen is very quite in the box, and uses his strong lower half and quick, loose hands to square up on the ball producing impressive barrel whip through the zone. He showed plus pull-side power, driving balls deep in the left center gap. The ball jumps off his bat with backspin carry. Winston has a top exit velo of 88 mph off the bat. Behind the plate, Rasmussen showed the ability to stick the ball during bullpen sessions and had good instincts blocking balls in the dirt. His top pop time was 2.10.

SWMO Prospect ID: At the plate, Rasmussen put on a power display, smashing three balls over the left center field fence. Rasmussen has a strong lower half and demonstrated above average bat speed to drive the ball gap-to-gap. Behind the plate, the athletic 6-foot, 195-pound Rasmussen showed to be a solid receiver with good balance and instincts. His accurate 2.21 pop time was among the top times for all catchers.

KC Prospect ID: Rasmussen is a physically strong 6-foot, 200-pound catcher who showed quick, concise footwork behind the dish.  He has a solid base and demonstrated quick, clean transfers with a pop time range of 2.07 – 2.12 and was clocked at 78 mph from the crouch.  Offensively, Rasmussen has a balanced setup and a strong lower half, using his strength to create some bat whip through the zone.  He took a short and explosive approach to the baseball and displayed good gap-to-gap power with his swing.
