6-foot-3, 195 pound two way player ran a 4.82 home to first. Ranked #19 in the Nebraska 2020 rankings. Quick barrel path, arm bar, looseness in hands, mid/pull side approach, line drive contact during round of BP. Projects to a corner spot in the infield, avg. hands and feet, extra tap in release, topped out at 78 MPH across the infield. On the mound, mid ¾ arm slot topped out at 84 MPH with sinking/run action on his fastball in the strike zone. Breaking ball 11/7 shape, some depth, avg. spin. Feel for change up to his armside with run.
2/19/18- 6-foot-2, 180 pound two-way player ran a 4.25 H-1B. Athletic build. Open stance, high leg kick, some wiggle in hands, pull side approach. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity off a tee. On the mound topped out at 83 mph with his fastball from a mid ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight, gets on a slight downhill plane. Has feel for 74-75 mph breaking ball with 10/6 shape and good spin. Repeats well, some effort in delivery. Strong follow as he continues to develop physically over the next three years.
