Physical: Powerful yet quick corner IF/OF. 6-foot-2, 205LBS. 6.8 60-yard dash. Clemson Commit.
Offensively: RHH. Top tier measurables from the Samek. 77MPH bat speed per Blast Motion & 106MPH exit velocity. Feet begin slightly wider than shoulder width with knees inside feet. Narrow set up with hands out in front of shoulder. Hands work slightly down to a bow & arrow position, allowing for the bat path to enter the hitting zone early and stay late. Flat to slightly up through the hitting zone. Weight efficiently transfers from the backside to a firm front side.
Defensively: Low chest angle at 3B. An easy 88MPH across the diamond to 1B. Fielded the ball out in front. Funneled the ground balls at him, worked through the backhand. Somewhat raw but the natural athleticism is there.
8/18/17 - Lean 6-foot, 170-pound SS/3B. The right-handed hitter starts with a wide base and uses a medium leg kick trigger. He is aggressive through the zone, with a slightly uphill path. the hands are loose and shows some bat speed out in front. There can be length at times, but as he continues to become stronger the swing will be more consistent. Defensively, he shows a quality first step and the hands and feet work well together at times through the ball. There is some present athleticism and tolls with more to come as he matures.
