4/19/17
Kentucky recruit, currently ranked No. 1 in New Jersey’s 2017 class. 6-foot-3 195-pounds. Strong build. High-3/4 arm slot, smooth delivery. FB 87-88 would touch 90 when needed, topped at 91. His fastball has late life with occasional arm side run. Used slider on both sides of the plate, 79-80 11/5 break. Changeup was 83-84 with downward action. Had good command of all 3 pitches and would throw any at any time. Did great job changing his looks to control running game. 4/19/17 vs Glassboro 5 innings, 10 K’s, 2 hits, 0 BB, 80 pitches.
Jupiter 2016
Kentucky commit. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder features a fluid, easy arm stroke from a high-3/4 slot and consistently repeats his delivery, which enabled him to throw strikes at the bottom half of the strike zone. His fastball has sneaky late life, which kept hitters out of rhythm, sitting 87-89, topping at 91 mph. Dobzanski lived off his fastball, though his 80-81 mph curveball is a plus offering, as it has tight, late bite. Dobzanski struck out seven with no walks in 5.2 innings work.
