Montagna has a lean, athletic build at 5-foot-10 165-pounds. One of the top performers from the event. LHP fastball touched 81 MPH and sat 79-81. Flashed a smaller 1/7 curveball at 67-70. Sidearmer, creates heavy sink and run on fastball. Tough angle to throw from, but Montagna maintains command and velocity of pitches consistently. Quick, up tempo delivery into a tall balance point. Falls down the mound into a stiff front landing leg. Long, clean arm. Some funk to his finish as he lands and fall toward first base side of the rubber. Downhill shoulders as he goes down the mound.
