Cha has a strong, broad-shouldered frame at 6-foot-4, 215-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds while recording a blistering 98 MPH on his exit velo, one of the tops at the event. Starts in a balanced stance at the plate, with a wide, strong base. Average stride. Smooth weight transfer. Minimal hand movement in his load. Powerful through the zone, extends his hands. Showed off some pullside pop. Defensively, recorded a top positional velo of 82 MPH in the infield. Stays back on the ball, fields deep. Funnels into his midsection. Displayed some quick lateral movement. On the mound, Cha’s windup starts on the first base side of the rubber with his feet offset. Maintains tempo through his delivery. Reaches balance point on time. Even shoulder tilt, gets over a softer frontside. Slightly closed at foot strike. Long, loose arm action. High slot, nearly OTT. FB has some downhill plane at 83-84 MPH, touching 85 MPH. CB was a plus pitch with above average spin rate and late tumbling action at 63-65 MPH. Also had a SL at 72-74 MPH that was short with later lateral bite.
