Uncommitted, Billings is a rising junior with a strong build. Strong lower half. FB was 85-86 and topped at 88, curve ball was 76-78 with a 10/5 break.  Good tempo, smooth, over the top. Dominated the 1st two innings but got into trouble in his 3rd inning of work against a good Highland Regional line up.  It was his longest outing of the preseason. As he had only thrown one inning going into this 3/25/17 contest.

4/23/16 - Billings stands at 5-10, 185-pounds. Also a catcher, Billings possesses a strong lower half for his age, and utilizes it when he pitches. Long, loose arms for a kid of his size, Billings is able to get on top of the baseball and hit the bottom half of the strike-zone. His performance on this day, (3 IP, 0 R) against the #1 team in the state in Gloucester Catholic certainly rose his stock in the 2018 class. He established a good blend of fastballs and curveballs against the GC hitters, keeping them guessing by routinely working backwards. Shows good pitchablilty by throwing curveball for strikes in down counts, and throwing back to back to back curveballs. Topped out at 85 MPH on this day, but was sitting 82-83 for most of his outing, curveball topped at 75, routinely 72-73. Established a good tempo on the mound, Billings’ innings seemed to go by in the blink of an eye which shows confidence in his stuff and his ability.
