Preseason All State (February 10th, 2018)
Fitzgerald has an athletic build at 5-foot-10 180-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.11 seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 83 MPH. Offensively – starts in a wide stance and in a crouch with hands in line with back shoulder. As pitch comes in, uses a small foot stride to start swing process, Hands load up and back slightly. Creates extension in hands and forearms to create line drive pop. Finish is uphill and balanced. Defensively – Throws to 2B were clocked at 72 MPH and between 1.97-2.07 seconds. Quiet set up, replaces feet on receiving and continues momentum through his throw. Throws were on the bag with some backspin.
7/25/2017

5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Threw 76 mph across the diamond with accuracy. The prep steps and footwork to the ground ball needs to improve as he matures. The glove is solid as he handled what was hit to him. Ran a 4.92 down the line on his dig to first base. Tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Hits out of a even footed start. The swing works freely, too much shoulder involvement. The path is long to the ball, the bottom half has a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. At times, the front foot gets down too late. Had a RBI single in the game.
Tee Exit Velocity- 83 mph
INF Velocity- 76 mph
