Small has a lanky, athletic build at 6-foot-1 185-pounds. Fastball topped at 86 and sat mostly 83-85. Flashed a curveball at 66-67 with big 11/5 bite. True swing-and-miss pitch, was the best offspeed pitch from the event. Also flashed a changeup with armside fade at 75-76. Smooth, repeatable mechanics. Tall balance point. High-3/4 slot with long, loose arm. Landing is in-line with homeplate, finishes on the side of front landing foot. Smooth, effortless arm – one of the top overall performers from the event.
