St. Bonaventure recruit. Wells possesses a lanky and athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 162-pounds. Starts tall on the mound and his first movement is a step behind. Throws with rhythm and repeatable tempo. Long, loose arm action. High 3/4 arm slot. Engages his backside efficiently and utilizes a strong front leg. High front side and uphill shoulder tilt. Stride direction in line. Started with his feet closed in the stretch. Fastball had downhill angle and was consistently located down at 77-79 MPH, topping at 79 MPH. Will add velo with added strength. Curveball showed 1/7 shape with occasional late tilt at 62-65 MPH. Changeup displayed both run and fade at 70-72 MPH.
