Hit: RHH. Open and athletic setup, bend to the knees. Smooth weight shift, loads through the back hip. Hanging, TT stride. Aggressive lower half, strong in the zone. 70.5 mph bat speed with 18 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 85.4 mph. 361' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Strong throws, compact AA w/ a higher slot.
Defense: Active feet, works to get around the ball.
ATH: 7.57 runner in the 60. 1.83 and 4.16 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
Onofre has a longer and athletic build at 6-foot, 160-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds, top exit velo recorded at 86 MPH. Upright and loose stance, creates rhythm pre-pitch. Fluid approach. Stays inside the ball, showed rotational actions creating some power from the lower half. Smooth weight transfer with advanced feel for the barrel. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while plays low to the ground. Hands work through the ball while funnelling to the hip before transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 73 MPH.
