Feet are even in his stance with weight slightly shifted onto his backside. Keeps his back elbow parallel to the ground while his hands move directly backwards during his load. Smooth weight transfer. Swings with controlled aggression. Aggressive lower half, pop to all fields. Outfield velo of 74 MPH. Creates momentum through the ball. Long, loose arm. Throws were on target.
Mantuano has a strong and athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.87 seconds with a top exit velo of 90 MPH. The physical lefty starts at the plate in a balanced stance with this feet even. Hands begin by his head and slowly move directly backwards during his load. Elbow stays parallel to the ground, mimics the movement of the hands. Big, hanging leg kick. Stays on time and is strong through the zone. Clear gap-to-gap power with more in the tank.
