DeChiaro is Old Dominion recruit. Strong 6-foot-2 175-pound frame with uniform strength throughout. Fastball sat 84-86 with heavy arm side sink and boring action. Throws swing and miss plus changeup with FB arm action and arm side sink at 78 mph. CB is hard and sharp with two plan depth at 76 mph. Young, explosive arm and body with high ceiling. Commands three pitches from low 3/4 slot. One of the top 2019s in the state.
DeChiaro has a lean, athletic build at 6-foot-2 175-pounds. No. 6 in 2019 class, Top ranked. Projectable frame. Smooth. repeatable delivery. Fastball topped at 87, sat 83-86 with some natural armside run. Curveball had small 1/7 break at 68-73. Showcased a plus changeup for his age at 70-72 with armside sink for strikes and a slider at 70-72. Loose, quick arm - creates good shoulder leverage as he goes down the mound. Tall/fall type pitcher, lands athletic and in line. High follow prospect.

DeChiaro is a 6-foot-1 170-pound 2019 grad with a lanky frame and long arms and legs. Very projectable pitcher and body, DeChiaro's fastball sat between 80-82 touching 83 MPH. Has very balanced and controlled mechanics for his age, gloveside gets great uphill extension as he is going down the mound. Throws from a high-3/4 with slight run. Smooth rhythm and lands athletic and in line, will occasionally fall off to the third base side. Sound mechanics already at his age will help him gain velocity as he continues to physically mature.
