New Jersey Games (July 23, 2016)
Fall is a projectable 6-foot-5 195-pound left handed pitcher. St. John's commit. One of the top arms at the event. sat 84-85 touching 86 multiple times during outing. Breaking ball sat 72-73, up to 75 with some 1/7 action. Fastball had some arm side run. Needs to continue to work on spinning a breaking ball for strikes. Clean arm action from 3/4 arm slot. Smooth, athletic rhythm, lands in line. Good looking frame with more velocity in the tank.

9/11/15 --
Fall possesses a lean, projectable 6-foot-5 frame who I had the opportunity to evaluate in a Diamond Nation nightcap. The projectable left-hander's outing was shaky to start and got better as he settled in. He pitches with minimal effort to his mechanics with a clean, quick arm. His fastball was 78-82 miles-per-hour with some arm side run. His breaking ball was 69-71 MPH with some depth when he stayed on top of the baseball. His changeup was perhaps his most solid offering in this outing as it was thrown with conviction and showed some late arm side run (72-74). Given how smooth his delivery and arm action is, it is easy to tell that he has more in the tank.

2020 DRAFT:Drafted in the 34th round last June by the Royals out of Brookdale CC (NJ), Fall took Tempe by storm with his arrival on campus last fall. He’s a 6-foot-6, 240 pound, three-pitch lefty. On opening night against Villanova he sat 90-93, touching an occasional 94 with his fastball. His slider played well at 81-84 mph, largely due to very little dispersion (very consistent release point) with his fastball. He also mixed in a 81-84 mph changeup. For the evening he pitched six shutout innings, allowed three hits and three walks while striking out six. He finished the 2020 season 1-0, 5.68 ERA, 19.0 IP, 16 H, 13 BB, 17 SO, .222 OPPAVG.

7/9/2018:6’6/220 pounds. High waisted frame with extra long limbs. Still appears to be growing into his body. Could add considerable strength down the road. Actions are low effort and smooth. Good balance at leg lift. Arm action is compact for such a huge wingspan. Three-quarters release point. Back leg stays tall throughout delivery. Upright finish. Could get out over his front side with more extension; most of his misfires were arm-side. FB was 90-93 mph with inconsistent command for his inning of work. Seemed to have a tough time driving the ball down in the zone. Only flashed a CH as a secondary offering. Pitch was firm at 85 mph with minimal cutting action as it got to the zone. Needs refinement. Did not throw a breaking ball. Tough to gauge overall pitchability in such a short outing. Presently the velocity and physical projection stand out the most. Arguably the highest ceiling of any other prospect on the field. (Dan Jurik)

5-13-19

Long and lean at 6-foot-6, 235 pounds, Fall has a very easy delivery and the ball jumps out of his hand. He touched 93 in the first, sitting mostly 89-90, before settling into the 86-88 range and finishing at 84-86. He worked 7.2 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out 10. He showed a slider and curveball, both with average potential. The slider was 81-82 with sweeping break, while the curveball had more 2/8 shape at 78-79. The changeup lags behind the rest of his arsenal as you can see it out of his hand and he slows his arm. It sits 80-84 with some fade.
