Quick hands give him the ability to turn the barrel. Some gap-to-gap pop present. Uphill finish in the swing, extension in the backside. Aggressive actions in the outfield, keeps his momentum towards his target. Top positional velo of 75 MPH. 

6-foot-2, 182lb lean frame; 7.55 runner in the 60 yard dash. Starts with the hands wrapped around the head and a big load on the backside. Lunges into the pitch with a quick turn of the upper half to induce some lift on the ball. Works a tight turn that yields some pop to all parts of the field, registered an 84 MPH max exit velo. In the outfield, presents the ability to track the ball easily with a long arm swing into a high 3/4 slot. Registered a 71 MPH arm strength from the OF. 

On the mound, Edwards works in a slow, methodical tempo that shows repeatability in the mechanics. Short stab out of the glove with the throwing arm into a long, high 3/4 slot that gets downhill on the ball nicely. The fastball sits 71-72 MPH and tops out at 73 MPH with good downhill plane on the pitch. Commands the zone nicely, especially to the knees. Throws a 54-57 MPH curveball with big up and down movement that could be thrown as a get me over pitch early in counts. Mixes in a changeup at 58-62 MPH with depth to the arm side.
