Physical: Broad-shouldered, muscular 6-foot, 190lb frame. 7.11 runner in the 60YD.
Offensively: LHH. Crouched, wider stance, as the hands start controlled by the ear. Utilized a directional lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat, explosive path into the hitting zone. Two-handed finish produced line-drives towards the middle of the field with ability to manipulate the barrel. Stayed over the backside hip, really turned it for a T96MPH exit velo, up to 352FT.
Defensively: The primary shortstop set up early from beneath the ball, working out of a lower position with some give in the hands. Gained acceleration over the toes and reached back for an 80MPH arm, H ¾ slot.
Lucarelli is strong/athletic at 6-foot, 180-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.93 seconds, top exit velo recorded at 99 MPH, top of the day. Extremely wide stance, real strong base. Minimal stride, stays on time time. No unnecessary movements in his swing. Creates some easy juice from an efficient lower half and strong levers. Effortless pop, worked the gaps with ease. In the infield, showed an active lower half with clean glovework. Shorter arm action and strong throws. Top positional velo of 83 MPH.
5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame. At the plate, flashed 90 mph exit velocity off the bat. Began in a balanced crouched stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Had simple loose swing plane and had level finish. Found some barrels through his round. Line drive approach. Smooth while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 80 mph; had twitchy soft hands, a fluid exchange and athletic footwork. Using a loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Recorded a 60 time of 7.17 at the event.
5-foot-9, 145-pound lean frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 73 mph. Setup includes wide stance and a small load. Had an upward swing plane and high finish. Line drive approach. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 74 mph across the field; had a fluid exchange and soft hands. Showed an-over-the-top slot with short quick arm action. He clocked a time of 7.72 in the 60-yard dash.
